- लड़ी में पिरोया हुआ, मोतियों की लड़ी, मुक्तावली, नज्म की एक क़िस्म, जिसमें चंद मिस्र एक क़ाफ़िए में कहकर, एक या दो मिस्र दूसरे काफ़िए के लाये जाते हैं, मुखम्मस’ और ‘मुसद्दम' आदि इसी की क़िस्में हैं।

- (عروض) ایسی نظم، جو (کئی) بندوں پر مشتمل ہو، خواہ بصورت مربع، مخمس، مسدس، ثمن وغیرہ، جس میں ہر ہر بند کے مصرعے سوائے مصرع آخر کے ہم قافیہ ہوں اور تمام بندوں کے آخری مصرعے پہلے بند کے مصرعِ آخر کے تابع ہوں
