ہجرت کے مارے ہوئے ، لوگ جنھوں نے وطن چھوڑ دیا ہو ۔

جدائی ہو جانا ، علیحدگی ہو جانا ، مفارقت پیش آنا

جان یا ایمان کی سلامتی کی خاطر کسی علاقے کو چھوڑ دینا

اللہ تعالیٰ کے حکم سے آنحضرت صلی اﷲ علیہ وآلہٰ وسلم کی مکے سے مدینے کو نقل مکانی جو ۶۲۲ء؁ عیسوی میں ہوئی اور یہیں سے ہجری تقویم کا شمار شروع کیا گیا (نیز رک : ہجرت معنی ۲) ۔

جس جگہ ہجرت کی جائے ، مقام یا شہر جہاں کوئی ہجرت کر کے جائے ۔

(تصوّف) (بطور کنایہ) ذاتِ باری تعالیٰ ؛ خداوند
