जितना बर्तन हो उतना, जितनी योग्यता हो उतनी, जितना सामर्थ्य हो उतना।।

as much as one's expanse is

in proportion to one's age, life

equivalent, to the value of courage

to the extent of love, to the measure of love, by or in the quantity of love

according to passion, as much as desire

جتنی طاقت ہو اتنی، جتنی دولت ہو اتنی

equivalent, to the value of courage

to the value of the relish of pain

to the level of the reward of beloved

an allusion to someone who is exceeding his limits

(فارسی کہاوت اُردو میں مُستعمل) ہر شخص کی روزی اس کی ہمّت کے موافق مقرّر ہے یعنی جتنی ہمّت جو شخص کرے گا اُتنی ہی روزی اُسے مِلے گی

(فارسی کہاوت اُردو میں مستعمل) خدا کی قسم جب تک اس شراب کو نہ چکھے گا اس کی قدر نہ جانے گا ، جب تک خود تجربہ نہ کِیا جائے اصل کیفیت معلوم نہیں ہوسکتی .
