جہاں کوئی چیز جسامت کے تناسب سے تقسی، کی گئی ہو یا کی جانی چاہیے ہو تو بطور کہاوت کہتے ہیں.

جتنی طاقت ہو اتنی، جتنی دولت ہو اتنی

equivalent, to the value of courage

as much as, to the value of desire of heart

جتنا ظرف ہو اتنا، جتنی صلاحیت ہو اتنی، جتنی حیثیت ہو اتنی
